Dear
applicant,
Just
by visiting our website, youngracersofamerica.org, we can already
tell that you have a definite passion for racing! Throughout 2005,
our goal at Young Racers of America, Inc., will be to raise funds
for 2006 and beyond. Since we are a new non-profit corporation,
there is much work to be done. If you would like to join in our
efforts and be a part of this exciting one and only non-profit
corporation of its kind, please let us know. Our Headquarters
is based out of Texas, but we also plan to have chapters set up
in each state. Therefore, please allow us time to finish the required
work before we tackle that exciting next step!
If
you're interested and willing to work on establishing a chapter
in your area, please contact us through email. When Young Racers of America, Inc., is ready to branch
out, someone will be contacting you directly to discuss further
details.
We are accepting applications.
YRA is continuously raising funds to provide sponsorships. However, there is a limit to the number of sponsorships we are able to award. All sponsorships will be evaluated according to our guidelines. Only applicants from residents of the State of Texas can be considered at this time. If accepted, a contract will be required committing both the child and the parent/s to our mentoring program as well as committing to give back to the community in some manner. Additionally, helping YRA with a reasonable amount of volunteer time, when available, is expected. All funds will be held in a YRA account and when parts, equipment etc. are needed, you will notify YRA and we will purchase these items on behalf of the sponsorship recipient. The amount of that purchase will be deducted from the sponsorship total. At the end of the year, all funds that have not been distributed to the sponsorship recipient will be available for distribution to others. If all guidelines are met, children will be able to apply the following year for another sponsorship.
